چکیده

An analytical technique based on the method of undetermined coefficients is applied to the problem of computing the theoretical spectral estimate by the maximum entropy method (MEM) when the autocorrelation function of the data is known exactly and corresponds to N sinusoids in additive white noise and to N sinusoids in additive l-pole, low-pass noise. For the white noise case, the L prediction filter coefficients are expanded directly in terms of the input sinusoids. This expansion leads to a transformation of the L x L normal equations for the prediction filter coefficients to a set of 2N x 2N equations. The transformed equations are a smaller set of equations to be solved whenever L > 2N and provide a convenient description of the interaction between the various frequency components of the sinusoids which occurs in the MEM estimate. Further. for certain cases where there is little interaction between some of the fre-

Electrochemical Noise Analysis of Anaerobic (Bacterial) Corrosion of Steel

Corrosion of structural steel in an SRB containing environment for as long as 9 months, is studied using the Electrochemical Noise Analysis technique. The results show that the activity of the system, which was very low initially, started to increase after 6 months exposure to the environment. The power spectral density curves of the Electrochemical Potential Noise of the system, using the maxi...

Linear prediction and maximum entropy spectral analysis of finite bandwidth signals in noise

The optimal minimum—mean—square—error discrete filters are obtained for finite bandwidth signals in noise represented by a rational pole— zero model in the spectral domain. An analytical technique called the method of undetermined coefficients is used to solve the Wiener equation for the optimal prediction coefficients. These coefficients are then used to examine (a) the frequency response of t...

Determination of height of urban buildings based on non-parametric estimation of signal spectrum in SAR data tomography

Nowadays, the TomoSAR technique has been able to overcome the limitations of radar interferometry techniques in separating multiple scatterers of pixels. By extending the principles of virtual aperture in the elevation direction, these techniques pay much attention in the analysis of urban challenging areas. Despite the expectation of interference of the distribution of buildings with different...
